As Abilene's only locally owned paint store, we work twice as hard to assure our customers success in all of their projects, and we've been doing it since 1971.

The Paint Center has been serving Abilene and the "Friendly Frontier" for over 35 years.
We were founded in 1971 by Dean Hagler, under the name T.C.I.
Paint Center.
Our initial location was on North 6th.
We later moved to the North 1st location.
In 1983, we purchased land on South 1st and built our present building.
We have gone through several remodels, and now have what we feel is one of the nicest, cleanest, most exciting paint stores in Texas.
Our decorative painting showroom is unique, treating faux finishes like a work of art and then displaying them like real art.

We proudly sell Pittsburgh Paints.
Pittsburgh offers an incredible amount of color and assistance in using that color effectively.

Then you can use their great literature to guide you in creating a look in your room that's all you!

We have several hundred feet of our store done with it.
SkimStone is a concrete microtopping that adds a level of beauty hard to achieve with any other product.
It is troweled on clean concrete.
Typically three coats are applied followed by several coats of a their protective sealer.
The floors is very durable.
We live with it everyday, and can honestly say it with stands a ton of abuse.
We have had several large gatherings with tables and chairs and it shows no sign of wear.
